From there is a strange transmission that distorts the bodies of residents and those who exist, rendering them into monstrous creatures. On the way, Mono is rescuing an anonymous terrified girl from the mysterious Hunter trees. Now the two are going into the very epicenter of evil, as maybe there is the secret to redemption from all horrors.
Tarsier Studios' atmospheric horror-platformer Little Nightmares 2 expands on the lore of the first game, which takes place on the "Womb" - a giant ship more like an underwater skyscraper. This time, the player will pass through urban locations, which is very reminiscent of the similar in style and atmosphere Limbo and Inside from the Playdead studio - they also start in a forest area, then replaced by gloomy urban landscapes.
Little Nightmares 2 combines, as in the previous installment, a vast range of traditional horror elements from film, literature and even urban legends. If in the first part there was a Mistress or a Lady that looked like a Japanese geisha and mixed the characteristics of a witch and the spirit of asian terror movies, there was a Slim Guy in a Hat in Little Nightmares 2 – a combination of Slenderman, Freddy Krüger and the urban legend of black people who secretly rule the lives of the common people. It appears to be him who governs Transmission, transforms to a strange toilet warped in time and space the city and its surrounding areas.
The Slim Man is connected to particularly terrifying and traumatic times. Occasionally, he continues following the player and pushes him to conquer challenges fast. The lead can be costly in any hit - the villain appears to be going slowly but is not lagging behind. The game snatches the hands of the player, as though it were intentionally, and causes Mono to pause against the threat. Moreover, this time the creators gave a bold suggestion of the antagonist's origin and identity. One can just assume the past of the maistress in the first game.
Little nightmares 2 however remains true to the emblematic characteristic of this series: the player must construct the world's past and logic according to the clues left behind by the developers. The main character's history and no details are given, no notes shed light on the events. The writers need the player to be cautious and maybe even cultural - but the game is worth it. You can get around reading fantheories and explanations of the forums and thematic pages if you don't want to understand the complicated storyline.
The relationship of Mono and the sixth is the basis for gameplay in the second section. Luckily, the girl who is powered by artificial intelligence is not underfoot, but helps solve puzzles and circumvent traps effectively. The creators do whatever they can to make the players enjoy the companion with the yellow raincoat. Even with the back, you can take the girl and run with her. The game is especially cute with such a triviality. According to the story, Mono often has to overcome challenges and battle the enemies alone, and it gets very uncomfortable without an accompaniment.
The remote control falls into the paws of Mono on the floor of TVs. It is worth shutting the television off, and the hypnotic beast near him will continue to look for another one. True, it is a cruel joke often when enemies who did not find a TV substitute start chasing Mono – and it is difficult to avoid. You must follow the proper protocol to ensure the puzzle does not malfunction.
