Adobe Photoshop arrives in native version on M1 Macs

In a version tailored for Apple Silicon M1 chips, Adobe releases Photoshop. This 22.3 version is found to be 1.5 times higher than the version available on Intel Mac, based on the testing conducted by the firm.

For several months customers could chose MacBooks and Mac Minis with M1 chip. The Rosetta 2 emulation renders the applications originally built in x86 very powerful consistent with the ARM platform to ensure seamless transition.

However, developers are allowed to sell Mac M1 native versions. Today it is the turn of Adobe to deliver Photoshop applications in this way. It was only available in beta until now.

A Photoshop for Mac M1 quicker edition

This native process on Macs fitted with an M1 chip is rendered faster by Photoshop according to testing performed by Adobe. This implementation will also be 1.5 times faster than the previous generation framework. The company says that "opening and saving files, running filters and hard computing operations such as content-ware filling or choosing the subject," is an improved responsiveness.

Furthermore, Adobe launched the Photoshop's Camera Raw feature in the "High Resolution" segment. This helps you to resize a picture with machine learning without losing accuracy. In the near future it will also arrive at Lightroom.

Two new features for Photoshop on iPad

On the other hand, Adobe has also added two features to Photoshop on iPad.

The first, entitled "Cloud Documents Version History", offers, as its name suggests, a history of documents saved in the Cloud. The storage period is 60 days.

Finally, the second allows you to store Cloud documents on an iPad and access them even in offline mode.
